In 2023 my team and I were tasked with rebranding the broadcast of the Riot Games, League Championship Series (LCS). A rebrand is no joke requiring hundreds of hours of work to solve countless design problems so that the end product feels like it just came together easily and works with a number of different variables. The graphics contained in this reel take you through a condensed broadcast cycle and are just some of the ones that I personally worked on.
This is a reel of just some of the large events 2017-2024. These events were for various Riot Games League of Legends esports tournaments all over the world. Problem solving all the unique combinations of real time rendering, design aspirations, and the wide variety of screen shapes and sizes keeps this job super fun and interesting.
This is an older reel but it includes work done for the Fox Sports promos department. I worked on promos for many sports including NFL, MLB, NBA, UFC, College Football, NASCAR, Soccer, and even Golf.
Matt Dickey is an award winning motion graphics designer with a background in sport broadcasts and live event stage graphics and design. He has earned 3 Emmy’s for excellence in broadcast design for work done for Riot Games e-sports broadcasts and large scale event stage design. He’s also just a good person to work with and a calming presence on the team.
